| February 2009 Preston Hollow Inn Fire 3082 Route 145 Engine 33-20 Arrived to find heavy fire blowing out of several windows on the first floor. The structure was vacant and the crew of Chief Lounsbury, Asst. Chief Wood and FF Molloy quickly knocked down the fire with an interior attack. The balloon construction made the fire difficult to extinguish as it got in to the walls and attic. A signal 30 was called and brought units from Medusa (AMA) Rensselaerville (AMA), Oak Hill Durham, East Durham, Broome, and Middleburgh with the Schoharie County FAST. Also on scene was Rensselaerville EMS, Durham EMS, and Albany County Sheriff's Office deputies, paramedics, and investigators. The cause appears to be electrical. |
